Website Objectives

One of the main things (if not the main thing!) to consider when deciding about having a web site is what is your objective?

Do you want a personal site to share family photos and stories, or are you looking to build your business?

Are you involved with a charitable organization? Are you promoting a hobby, a product, or yourself? Do you want to Blog?

How big a site are you looking for? What information do you want to share? How many pages?

Content, style, custom graphics – all will have an effect on the cost and time it takes to create.

Generally speaking, a site will cost between $750 and $1000 for design and publication online for a basic 5 page site.

More complex sites or sites with logo creation or heavy graphic manipulation can cost more.

Set-up and design of a WordPress blog will run about $250.00.

There are many reasons one may want a web site, from simply establishing a web presence, offering information, setting up a family web site, or promoting your group, club, or hobby.

What are your three main purposes in wanting a web site?
